My First Food Truck Encounter!

It had been a long and stressful day at school, I was on my way home when I realized I hadn’t eaten since breakfast, so I was trying to figure out where and what I wanted to eat. I was not in the mood for just some really sloppy food that would just make me feel sick after, so that is when I remembered all the times that I have heard people talk about this one food truck that was usually present in the Hamilton area called Gorilla Cheese which sells gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, so I decided to look them up.

I was looking at their menu when I saw that they also had their schedule of where they were going to be so I clicked the link and lucky for me they were in Gore Park Downtown Hamilton, which was right down the street from where I was getting off the bus. I got to Hamilton and walked over to Gore Park and found the truck. It was a black truck and on the side of the serving window they had their “curbside menu” I was looking through each of them and reading what the ingredients were then I looked at the price and realized that these were not normal grilled cheese sandwiches but gourmet grilled cheese. I thought why would anyone want to spend that much money on a sandwich that is coming from a food truck. I was about to walk away when I remembered everyone saying how amazing it was and if you ever got a chance you should try it, so I decided to get their Lumberjack which was a slice of cheddar, with real maple syrup, apple slices, and bacon. It took about 10 minutes for it to be ready. I got my sandwich and immediately took a bite at this point I was really hungry. That is when I realized that is was the best $9 that I ever spent on a grilled cheese sandwich in my life. I realized that everyone I heard talking was right, now that is one of my favorite food trucks and I look to see if it is my area whenever I feel like having something different to eat.
